This perfume is sweet, oily, smoky, and reserved.

Some parents are quiet, humble warriors. They put everything they have into providing for, teaching, and growing their children into the best version of themselves they can be. Working tirelessly and selflessly to support the goals and dreams of their family, regardless of how silly or farfetched some others might see them. Becoming a musician, or perhaps; a perfumer… I consider my father to be a perfect example of one of those parents.

This perfume is my tribute to him. It encapsulates many of my most vivid scent memories growing up under my fathers guidance into one cohesive fragrance. Rather than striving for a realistic interpretation of the story I’m trying to tell like I usually do, my intention with this fragrance was to make a magnification of the characteristics that make these scents so special to me. It is dialed back, like my father it does not announce it’s presence, but is always there when needed.

The sweet, slightly oily scent of already sprayed WD-40; always around when you needed it in my fathers workshop. Laying overtop of the smell of burning solder rosin; an unmistakable sweet undertone. And finally the essence of opening a guitar case with a nitrocellulose finished instrument inside; which has become a smell that seems it will be a part of my life until I can’t pick up a guitar anymore.

In short, this scent is a combination of vanilla, candy, woods, and smoke. To create a unisex, reserved fragrance that I think would suit any hard working, caring parent regardless of gender.

I was recently working on an old Aiwa stereo replacing a capacitor. I have to say, this fragrance somehow captured that distinct smell of old Japanese electronics perfectly, its uncanny!!

I cant speak to the other notes as im not familiar entirely but I have to say, this smells so pleasant and so familiar its impossible for me to not love.
    10/10
